Meet Ruxy Dobrescu
Founder & Behaviour Analyst
My passion for supporting children and families began long before I entered the field professionally. Growing up, I watched my parents advocate tirelessly to ensure my siblings received the support and opportunities they needed to thrive. Seeing firsthand the impact that compassionate, individualized care can have on a child and family shaped the way I view this work and ultimately inspired me to pursue a career in Applied Behaviour Analysis.
For the past 6+ years, I have worked with children and youth with diverse learning, behavioural, communication, and developmental needs across clinic, home, school, and community settings. I completed my Master’s degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis at Brock University and have dedicated my career to creating meaningful, individualized programming that helps children build independence, confidence, communication, and everyday life skills.
Throughout my experience, one thing has become incredibly clear to me: meaningful and lasting progress does not happen because of one person alone. Real change happens when everyone works together - caregivers, therapists, educators, and other professionals collaborating as a supportive and connected team around the child.
That belief is what led me to create Elevate Behavioural Services.
My goal in opening Elevate was to build a practice rooted in compassion, collaboration, and high-quality care - a place where families feel supported, heard, and involved every step of the way. I want families to know they are not navigating this journey alone, and that their child’s strengths, interests, and individuality will always remain at the center of intervention.
At Elevate, we strive to create positive and meaningful learning experiences that help children not only develop skills, but feel confident, capable, and empowered in their everyday lives.
